true…

True, there is no I in ‘team.’
But there is an I in ‘life.’
Think about that the next
time someone shames
you for not being a player,
for being a lone wolf.

Our forests have always
been rife with red riding
hoods carrying baskets of
cruelty to offer those who
howl for extraordinary freedom.

Some characters refuse to see
beyond the trees, to the wider
view that someone else does
not have to be wrong in order
that you may be right.

    Love this.
I feel privileged to be a fly on the wall inside some of your thoughts and the way you express them. (not that your brain is filled with anything that might attract flies… quite the contrary… but you know what I mean.) =) hehehe

I’m reading Susan Cain’s book Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can’t Stop Talking… all through history there have been those who do things beyond the group/team mindset. Your words echo the same power.

Yes. There IS an “i” in LIFE. Thank God. And thank you for this. That image of a basketful of cruelty is going to stick with me for a while, I think… And there are days when we all need a good howl.
