Ah, I read this about the same time I read this by Laura Boggess: “This year I’ve also learned how intricately My faith life and my physical being are yoked together. For much of this year I have been unable to run due to continued struggles with plantar fasciitis. During weeks of resting my physical self, I have felt my sense of wonder begin to wither. A lack of physical activity, for me, seems to have the peculiar effect of making me feel far away from God.”

I struggled with plantar fasciitis for nearly a year and went through anti-inflamitories, custom orthotics, long periods of rest, and severe pain. Nothing seemed to help until a runner friend recommended “Power Steps,” an orthotic I found online. I was feeling better within 2 weeks and feeling great in 6 weeks. You might want to give them a try.

Yea and amen. And if the weather completely precludes being in it, a nice-sized window helps, too. Even walking circles inside the house helps. Ask me how I know.

John, your words always have a way of bringing me to tears.
    Have a blessed new year.

    This is lovely–wow.
Health complications with a spouse and a season that has kept me indoors have cramped my getting outside as I long to do.
So what did we do today after a visit to the doctor in the city? Scrapped the freeway route and drove the long way home bordering Lake Washington from Seattle. The view ministered to my soul, even tho’ my feet didn’t hit the ground. It was so worth it.
