Indigo Homily

♣ Eighth day: Morning Homily, from The Church of the Woeful Countenance ~

Instead of seeking
to start a movement why not
try to find stillness –
that verbless language
perhaps just short of madness
learned by the lucky.
Find that and you will
see what apples dream about
just before they fall.

Woeful countenance? I don’t think so. Somehow, this hits at the very heart of it all. Thank you for these words. Just short of madness…yeah, I think you’re onto something very real there.

This is just what I needed to read this morning. Amen.

John, I wish I would have understood this eight years ago…but then again, i would have never had the chance to meet you and your family. God took me from the movement back into the stillness…
    backwards.

      Backwards… That’s a nice and good thought.
