Still Time
The relatives said do you want it?
Asking a writer if he wants a Mont Blanc Meisterstück
is like asking God if he so loves the world. For years now I have sisyphused each day with my dead father-in-law’s pen above my heart. Those mired in the relative world no doubt view it pagan but I think carrying this black precious resin causes the sum total of sadness in this life to be a little less than it would have been otherwise, I really do.
Totems like this anchor us, make us less boring, and challenge us to commit truly great acts of love while there’s still time.

Thanks for stopping by, Ken.
Wonderful. I agree whole-heartedly. Mine is a well worn and lived in Waterman Charleston. It makes me feel less boring.
Heather, less boring is always good, always. Have a wonderful day!
You pen beauty, and capture the tender, fragile on a page. Always.
Elizabeth, thank you very much for your words.
🙂 my pleasure..thank YOU for your poetic voice.
Breathing in as I come here. Always leave refreshed. Thank you. (I was given a Waterman when I retired – but my fingers don’t work round a pen anymore. Thankfully, they do work on this keyboard.)
