Forgive Us
We’ve no clue how blessed we are, tiptoeing
through this knotted green world on egg shells
with our fists clenched tight rehearsing our
litanies of trouble all the while rationing breaths
afraid of running out of misery.
We fools with hopeless groins, we sorcerers bored
with magic eking out an existence based on scarcity
when the truth is the banquet is spread before us.
Fall against the earth. Listen for the wind’s chamber
music. The world is so necessary.
Falling…
Oh my.
I love what you write.
Thanks John, as I am facing 60 next year I realize just how much my heart has changed these last 4 years. So much gratitude where once bitterness lived. So much love where one was hurt and brokenness. It is true that as I draw close, He draws close to me, or rather, He opens my eyes to what was already. I have had so much all along and didn’t know it. Keep writting, it inspires me to keep reaching.
you already know what i would say…
NOT SURE JUST HOW I DO THIS……BUT PLEASE CHANGE MY EMAIL ADDRESS TO portiagem1515@gmail.com. I would hate to miss your posts.
