Get Along Now Don’t You Cry

This world’s ears have been
scoured smooth by wave after
wave of fire and brimstoning.
Nothing now is left but scars,
vestiges that want but cannot hear.
The only remedy is renaissance,
re-piercing the world’s heart by
rattling the world’s bones with
a hum historically happening
only in the pied songs sung by
star drunk cowboys and nursing
mothers milked of time. And
possibly poets.

Re-piercing. Shew, this word alone is sinking deep right now….thank you for this, John.

Oh my. Beautiful John. So soulful and lovely. Thank you. Ah, the poets re-piercing hearts. What a call what a picture what a whisper.

Is “Get Along Now Don’t You Cry” supposed to be understood by everyone in the same manner, or are we as individuals to take from it only what we can “handle.” If so, I’ll be a “star drunk cowboy” or possibly a “poet.”

    Definitely poets. Yes. Definitely.

EVERY time you write…my heart resonates and my mind is flung down deep into thoughts and words that need to be savoured and life changed. Thank you

But pierce our souls with longing for thee… renaissance indeed.
