One Last Miracle

Jesus was a hit at the wedding at Cana,
the guest you were so glad you invited,
the fortunate son turning water into gold.
But the wine ran out, like it always does
leaving nothing to drink but sorrow.
This becoming well-acquainted with grief
was rather unbecoming to those who prefer to
surrounded themselves with what sells.
Actually it was quite polarizing to everyone.
At the very end he was surrounded by only
a few friends and a mother’s love.
He just hung there, brooding over
the face of the world’s suffering mumbling
Let there be love. Let there be love.

    I really like this.

“Actually it was quite polarizing to everyone.” Such powerful utilization of understatement there.
